2017 Golf Results

Brothers

Thanks for participating in our 2017 Sig Ep Golf outing.  The weather threatenrd a little but allowed us to enjoy a mostly sunny and enjoyable day.   We also raised $749 that will be deposited into our OSU Development Sig Ep Scholarship Fund.  Thanks very much for your purchase of Mulligans and your generous donation of all of the prize money.

We want to especially thank the undergraduate Brothers for their participation in this year’s event.  By moving the date closer to the start of school, it gave those returning to Columbus a better chance to participate.  Since it was a scramble event and we were able to mix both alumni and undergrads in the many of the foursomes, it allowed players of varying skills to enjoy the event plus the added benefit of getting to know your playing partners on a personal level.  We hope that we have even more participants in the 2018 event.

We have a new winner this year which is the Bryce Conway team and his partners Nick Fisher, Marc Ribe and Steve Englehaupt with a first place score of -6.  Congratulations!

Second place goes to the John Waggoner team which included Tom Applegate, Jason Littman and Ethan Warner with a score of -4.  Congratulations to them.

And finally, the third place goes to the Jim Crossley team which included Dave Hyre and Jim Stuteville with a score of -2.  Congratulations to them as well.

We also had 3 individual skill awards:   Closest to the Pin #14 – Jim Stuteville and Longest Putt Made #18 – Larry Bond.  We found the flag for longest drive on #4 but none of the names on the flag were from our group so I hope the other outing winner got some prize money from their group.

After some discussion, the decision was to return to Glenross Golf Club for the 2018 event and to keep it on the Saturday before Ohio State starts which works better for our undergraduate Brothers.  Our 2018 event will be on August 18, 2018. Thanks again for your participation and contributions and GO BUCKS!!

Fraternally,

Mike Lockwood
Jim Crossley
John Waggoner
