Brothers,
To continue one of the traditions that we started in our Centennial Year, the annual Ohio Gamma Sig Ep Golf Outing – The Lockwood - will be held on Saturday August 21, 2021. This event is open to both Alumni and Undergraduate Brothers. Guests are welcome as well. We have shifted the date to later in August to accommodate more of the undergraduates who will be returning for the Fall semester. We had a great time in 2019 so you will not want to miss the event this year. We are playing at Bent Tree Golf Club (350 Bent Tree Road, Sunbury, Ohio 43074 (740-965-5140). Bent Tree is a fine 6642 yard track located 1 mile east of I-71 & State Route 36. It is naturally wooded with rolling terrain, bent grass greens, & tees. Bent Tree has a website to aid with directions and/or questions. YES, Bent Tree does have some bent trees. This could be quite a challenge!!
Therefore, we are planning a four man scramble event followed by cash prizes to the winners and beverages in the Club House. If you have particular Brothers that you would like to play with, please indicate their names on the response form. If you don’t have a foursome, we will set up pairings based upon skill levels. The Golf committee does reserve the right to adjust the teams to insure a balance of skill levels. We will assemble at Bent Tree at 12:30pm, arrange the teams and tee off beginning at 1:30 p.m. Food is available for order at the bar either before or after golf. So, after the round we will be enjoying a beverage or two and presenting the awards.
We are delighted with the response of the undergrads. 12 of them have said they want to play.
To help those undergrads, the golf committee has a special request – DONATE – Our outing’s purpose is to promote Brotherhood. Brotherhood among our alumni & between alumni & undergrads. We have a good undergrad chapter and want them to join us. To help defer their golf fees – We are asking our alumni to donate $20 or more towards the cost of and undergrads golf fees. It will be well worth it & much appreciated.

Cost: Golf - $70 per person includes green fees, cart, 2 drink tickets and prizes
Special: Buy Mulligans!!! The day of the event at $10 per Mulligan or include with your event fees. No limit on Mulligans. Just might help your team win the event. Excess funds will be donated to one of the Ohio Gamma Sig Ep Scholarship Funds.
