Ohio Gamma AVC Need-Based Scholarship Application

Each year the Ohio Gamma Alumni and Volunteer Corporation (the “AVC”) awards several scholarships to undergraduate brothers of the Ohio Gamma Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. The number and amount of these scholarships varies each year depending upon the amount of current alumni donations to the Sigma Phi Epsilon Scholarship Fund of The Ohio State University Development Foundation (the “Ohio Gamma Fund”) and the earnings on prior contributions accumulated in the Ohio Gamma Fund.

While most of the scholarships are based on academic performance, a few are based primarily on financial need. This Application is for scholarships based primarily on financial need, a “Need-Based Scholarship”.

If you are interested in applying for a Need-Based Scholarship, please complete this Application and submit it directly to Robert B. Barnett, Jr. at [email protected].

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and awarded based on the information provided in this Application. Financial need is the most important factor in awarding the Need-Based Scholarships, but all other factors will be taken into account as well. The proceeds of all awarded Need-Based Scholarships will be paid directly to The Ohio State University for credit against the tuition or other university or fraternity fees of the scholarship recipients.
